After the age of 3 years, your child will be seen annually for their check-up. The nurse will obtain height and weight, while reviewing home life and family medical history. The clinician will perform a complete exam on your child, answering any questions or concerns you may have regarding growth and development. Behavior at home and at school will be discussed, along with promoting a healthy lifestyle. Prior to starting kindergarten, the Center for Disease Control recommends full vaccination of your child. The clinician will review your child's vaccination record and administer any necessary vaccinations. No blood work is routinely performed at this age. Vision and hearing tests are performed at each visit.
